our week in pictures

i tried to do an instafriday update yesterday, but it just didn't happen. 

so, these are instagram pictures, but on saturday....=)

this is how the weekend started - daddyboy and C organizing all the pieces for a new swing set! 

by sunday night, she was swinging!

i can't wait until the weather stays warm and we can be out on this thing more.  it's got a fort, a rock wall and a slide!  a pretty fast slide too!  she's a pro at it now, but even i was kind of scared going down it at first...

the hubs didn't get the swing set finished on saturday because he had to stop a little early to be my date

first wedding of the year!  i love going to weddings, and we have a few this year.  C even get's to be a flower girl again in august.

the middle of the week was low key and random

monday morning picking "flowers" aka dandelions.  i just love this picture because of her hair.  she started out looking at me, then our dog started barking so she whipped her her head around right as i snapped it.  i don't know when i'll be ready to cut her hair...

wednesday we had lunch outside and then i continued to enjoy the weather while C napped!  my stack was a little too high, but it was still fun to try....

on thursday, i randomly decided to go to sonic.  not that exciting, but it makes me think of Craft Weekend, so i had to instagram and give a shout out to my CW girls.  and - seriously, if you've never tried their diet limeade, you should.  diet cran-raspberry limeade.  magical.  especially during happy hour!

i'm so thankful for early spring and our quiet neighborhood.  we are outside so much right now.  i'm proud of kentucky weather this year!

friday was a great day because i got news news that this little lady had arrived!!

avery-elise warning!  8lbs 3oz of perfection.  i can't wait to get my hands on her!!

then friday night, we headed out on a family date.

C loves dates.  she wanted to wear a dress and suggested i did as well.  we got ready and decided to snap a little picture.  daddyboy was looking good with these ladies on his arm....;)

today we are headed to a little friend's dance recital and i just know C is going to love it!  but it's rainy and cold here (ky weather has been usually nice....today's weather is more "normal" for april...), so i think we are going to attempt our first tent.

an instafriday UPDATE!!

it's been so long since i've blogged,  and i had so many pictures and weekends to look through, i had to just pick a starting place!  it's crazy.  i can't believe how long it's been.  it wasn't on purpose, i've just been so busy.  it's crazy how things have changed since i started working part-time.  it's amazing and i love it, but getting on the computer to blog....well...it's just not as easy.

but a couple of days ago, even the hubs asked when i was going to blog again.  so this morning, i'm buckling down and doing it.

and since it's friday and i've still kept up with intagraming pictures, i'm going to do a big instafriday update!

we are big UK fans in this house.  so celebrating the final games was a no-brainer.

we had a lot of fun, and partied like we were in college again!!

and even though she's little, and she definitely did not party with us, you know we had her decked out and ready to cheer!!

after a week of recovering from staying up way too late on a monday night, we headed to western kentucky to visit some of our best friends!

 it's always so easy staying at their house.  our kids love each other, and it's sad to have to separate them when we leave.

we love the warning's and can't wait to celebrate baby #3 with them very soon!  C loved talking about the baby in cami's belly.  she doesn't fully understand the concept, but she was very sweet to cam's belly.

we got back saturday night, just in time for Easter sunday.  we missed all the egg hunts in lexington, so we obviously had one in our front yard.

she realized really quickly that most eggs were filled with either candy or coins.  it was pretty hilarious when she found empty ones....

we had a wonderful and relaxing day.  daddyboy made an awesome dinner and we were able to enjoy eating outside.

we spend a lot of time outside in the summer.  and now that we have our awesome new brick patio, and daddyboy is putting up a swing-set this weekend, i know that we will be out there even more!  can't wait to start planting flowers.  this early spring has got me chomping at the bit.

also, another little update that is kind of out of order, but one that i can't let go by.

shaun had been training for a half marathon.  and a couple of weeks ago, he killed it!

we are super proud of our daddyboy and were very impressed that he ran 13.1 miles in under 2 hours!!  good job boy!

playing catch-up

i started my new job and am finally getting a new schedule figured out.  i knew i would love staying home more with C, i just didn't realize how busy i would be.  in a good way...

so, i'm playing a little bit of catch up.  not much.  the hubs birthday was less than a week ago, so i'm feeling ok about it.  don't worry, i didn't miss his birthday.  i just missed posting about it.


C worked on something special for daddyboy

and we surprised him with a banner the next morning

and of course, we made him a cake.  oreo cheesecake to be exact

i'll confess.  i temporarily broke my 'no sweets during lent' for a night.  i felt ok about it.  and it was oreo cheesecake made by me.  i had to have a small piece.....

we had a fun night celebrating.  pizza and friends.  it's what he wanted, so it's what we did.  =)

by friday, it was 70 degrees here and we were hunkered down, ready for a tornado.

no tornado.  barely even any rain here.  thankfully.  but we did have a pretty amazing sky after.

guess what came 2 days later?

like 4 inches of snow!!  

kentucky weather is crazy.  we say "if you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes."  it's true.  kentucky gets confused...

so, today was a snow day!!  C has never played in snow, so she was in for a treat.  i told her this morning when she woke up that i had a surprise for her.  she loved it!  she couldn't wait to get out and walk in it.  =)

she loved making a snow man, running and falling.  it was good snow and really good day!
